“ My work leans towards the ethereal and dreamlike. As time has gone by, my art has become less gendered (although it’s honestly hard to stay away from the female figure and its power). I’ve also moved away from features such as hair or skin color. I’m hoping to tap into something that is universally human. My little beings are energy and soul. Sometimes I see them as ancestors, sometimes as guardians. Hopefully we all can feel a bond or kinship to them.
Most recently I have been creating mixed media work using cyanotype combined with drawing and watercolor. It has allowed me to include my love of photography with my love of creating figures. “

Veronica grew up under the sunny skies of Colorado and received her BFA in Painting at CSU. Her work developed as she lived in Seattle for 10 years and was mentored by the great artist, Anne Siems. She now lives close to family in Colorado again. She is a mother to a wild 5 year old human and many other creatures, an aunt, and a spouse. She continues to create in many ways- painting, photography, lamp-making, and whatever else she can get her hands on.
